Don’t wait til the last second...engine teching is now open to all TSRS raceteams.

For any new engine built with anything other than a “stock” Chevy crank you must call Joe BEFORE assembly. At that time Joe will check, weigh, initial and date the crank to be used. The assembly of the engine can than be completed with one head to remain off. After assembly call Joe to make arrangements for “final” certification and sealing of the engine. This final step will take place at the engine builders shop.

Due to the overall cost for seals each team will have to be charged a $50 fee for their engine seals.

All teching done at Joe Grandinetti’s shop WILL NOT incur any additional charges.

Any teching performed onsite WILL be charged accordingly.

To setup a time/place for your engine to be teched please contact Joe Grandinetti @ (215) 355-0510

TSRS ENGINE TECHING

Please Read Carefully...

1. LINE-UP PROCEDURES
Arrival at the track: Draw pill for heat starting position.

If (2) Heats Are Run
The inversion draw for the feature will be as follows:
8, 10, or 12 car inversion.
The previous weeks winner will automatically start behind the last inverted car.
*Example: Invert 8 - Previous Race Winner Starts 9th, Invert 10 - Previous Race Winner Starts 11th.
*If the previous weeks winner is part of the invert number; then the next qualified car in order enters the invertion process.

If (3) Heats Are Run
The inversion draw for the feature will be as follows:
9, 12, or R-Pill**(Complete Restart) car inversion.
The previous weeks winner will automatically start behind the last inverted car.
*Example: Invert 9 - Previous Race Winner Starts 10th, Invert 12 - Previous Race Winner Starts 13th.
*If the previous weeks winner is part of the invert number; then the next qualified car in order enters the invertion process.

**R-Pill Draw - If and when an R-pill draw is used; if you are in the top 12 you must arrive to the

pill-draw trailer location immediately after the last heat is run. If you do not arrive in a timely fashion and because of the pressure from the track to keep the show moving on time, the pill-draw will be performed by another person.

2. STARTS/RESTARTS

The race starts at the drop of the green flag. There are designated spots for the pole position to start a race. If the pole or outside pole “jump” before that spot the yellow will come out for another restart. On the second restart if the same occurrence happens again the driver at fault will be placed at the back of the field.

If a driver drops to the bottom to gain an advantage on starts/restarts, that driver will be penalized

2 positions and/or the yellow will come out for another restart. If it occurs again, the driver will be placed at the rear of the field.

3. CAUTION FLAGS

If a driver is the cause of 3 yellows in a night of racing, excluding warmups, upon the 3rd yellow you will not be allowed to continue racing. If you stop (or spin) to avoid a spin, wreck or stopped car you will not be charged a yellow but you will be placed at the back of field.

4. DRIVER CHANGES

If a driver change is requested, the car and the driver must start at the rear of the field.

To request a driver change, both the car and driver must have been qualified prior to the request and will be required to start at the rear of the field.

5. RACE CONDUCT

Each team driver is responsible for their conduct and that of their respective crew/owner: Meaning, if a driver's crew and/or car owner create a disruptive, threatening or otherwise harmful issue/situation to any official, member and/or team of the TSRS organization and/or track at which they are competing the driver of that car, will be sent down for the remainder of the evenings race events. Depending on the severity of the situation/issue could be further cause for suspension from any future RaceSaver® competition(s).

RULES CONCERNING SHOCKS, TIRES, HEADERS, BLEEDERS & FUEL

1. TIRES

A. RaceSaver Rules specify that tires have a 35 derometer read.
In speaking with French Grimes the D12(Hoosier) and MC2(American Racer) are legal.

It was stated at previous meetings that if the "new tire" rule is abused Joe Grandinetti will begin to stencil tires before the heat races. "Stencilling" means: The tire stencilled prior to the heat must be run in both the heat and feature events of that race being held.

2. SHOCKS

A. Regarding adjustable shocks.
NO cockpit adjustable shocks are allowed.
External adjustable shocks are allowed at this point in time.

3. HEADERS

A. Concerning Tri-Y Headers
French Grimes has stated that there is no gain in running either Tri-Y headers vs. Schoenfeld or other makes. At this time there is no specific header that is required. Any coatings (porcelain, etc.) other than header (high heat) paint are not allowed.

4. BLEEDER VALVES

A. No Bleeder Valves Allowed.
Previously all teams were being given time and the opportunity to make the change since this was necessary.
AFTER this Saturday race at New Egypt, July 9th, 2011; NO teams will be allowed to have any bleeder valve system on their wheels.

5. FUEL

AS OF AUGUST 1ST, 2011

A. NO Fuel Additives (Top Lube, etc.) are allowed.
B. Fuel will be teched randomly according to TSRS officials.

* Any additives will have an adverse effect on the test results.
